Two days ago Apple made the HomePod pre-orderable. So I went on and gave them all my money (again) to get one. The only one single problem is, that it’s only available in US, UK and Australia and, as you might know, I live in Germany (even if I’m writing this in English). So I managed that a friend of mine (thanks so much to you) who is living in UK at the moment will forward it to me as soon as it arrives at her house. I was that much in hype (I’m still now) and when it turned 9AM on January 26th I sat together with some friends in front of my computer and spammed reload on the website, but nothing happened… After some minutes we looked around on Twitter and reddit and came to the conclusion, that Apple wouldn’t release it at 12AM PST, which is 9AM over here.
\nFrom then on we reloaded the website every full hour until 2:30PM when I randomly had a look on it and it was there. Completely confused as I was then, I went on to order my Space Grey HomePod, it was pretty spontanous, so PayPal didn’t accept payment with my bank account. I had to send the money to PayPal first… I already thought it took so long that my HomePod will arrive by the end of February or so, but it didn’t. Probably Apple already produced so many of them or not many people ordered one, I don’t know… After I finished placing my order, I was about 380\u20ac poorer and I was happy… now I’m waiting for about 12th of February for the arrival of my HomePod. I will tell you more when it’s here! Until then, have fun reading things in the internet or whatever.<\/p>\n
