Because of today’s date, I think it is time to say Happy Birthday and a big thank you to Steve Jobs. For me he is (obviously) kind of a big idol and I’m so happy about what he did in his life. He may hadn’t been the friendliest and the most philanthropic person in the world, but his ideas were just great. He mostly did what was best for his employees and he always has seen things differently. That’s why he made Apple, what it is today.

And I love what Apple is today as well as what it was in the past: the (in my eyes) most ecological, forward-looking computer and phone company in the world. (The following text might show the fanboy in me, so please don’t judge me ?) In my eyes, Apple does mostly the best thing out of the product. They mostly aren’t the first to do something, but they’re the first to bring it to the masses as no-one else does.
The iPhone wasn’t the first smartphone with a touchscreen, there were some before, but only some of these were sold in higher numbers. Then Apple came and brought the iPhone and almost everyone wanted to have one, because it was an iPhone. Same example with the Apple Watch or the wireless charging. Sure there were wireless-charging phones available before, but now every shop and restaurant tries to support wireless charging, because the iPhone has it.
And that’s the way how Apple and the legacy of Steve Jobs changes the world with everything they do. They set the standards, even if they existed before.
Also everything Apple is reliable (maybe except of some of the new MacBooks, as it’s said). It’s always there when you need it. It always works (ItJustWorks™). And there’s no other system or brand that I can say that from. Android always pissed me off when I had it and Windows… it’s Windows… do I have to explain more?

To come to an end I just can thank Steve Jobs again for what he did in his life. And of course I also thank everyone at Apple who did and does help to do the great things Apple does. Thank you.

And also thank you for reading my crazy mind-explosions. I just thought on what better day could I write this if not on Steve Jobs’ birthday? If you want to read some nice thoughts about him you can just go to apple.com/stevejobs.

Until anytime soon
Niko
